Dear parishioners and friends,
It is hard to believe that our churches have been closed for public worship for three full months. The last services were held on Christmas Day. This Sunday we begin the most important week in the year – Holy Week. It starts on Palm Sunday when we usually distribute Palm Crosses at our services. Tomorrow (Saturday 27th) our 4 churches (St Luke’s Douglas, St Michael’s Blackrock, Holy Trinity Frankfield and St Mary’s Marmullane) will be open between noon and 1pm if you would like to call in and collect a Palm Cross. The churches will also be open then for private prayer. So if you want to sit in a pew for a few minutes to reflect and pray before we start Holy Week and Easter, feel free to do so. There will be a churchwarden there to guide you and remind you of the public health procedures. If that time does not suit you, I have Palm Crosses at the Rectory and they can be safely collected tomorrow from our porch.
I hope you will take the opportunity to call back into your church tomorrow. As usual there will be recorded service on our YouTube Channel for this Sunday. I will send the link and further information about it in due course.
Every blessing,
Adrian
