Mothering Sunday, Women in Lent and St Patrick

 

Last Monday was International Women’s Day and tomorrow is Mother’s Day. In church we mark it as Mothering Sunday. Please find the attached Order of Service for Mothering Sunday which you might like to copy and distribute to those who do not use email. 

 

Our recorded service for tomorrow will be on the Parish YouTube Channel as usual from this evening. It emphasises the family of the church to which we all belong, and so involves some members of our current confirmation group, as well as women. The link is here:

 

 

Our Lent Course ‘Biblical Byways’ this week has a focus on some of the less familiar women who feature in the scriptures. I would like to thank Jacqui for writing this material. I know you will enjoy it and find it interesting.   

Finally, Wednesday is St Patrick’s Day. As usual there will be a service on Zoom at 11.00am for those who want to join us. I will send out the link earlier that day. It is good to see that we have at least 20 people attending each week.
