Today marks the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and we have Rev. Geraldine Gracie from Cork Methodist Church as our guest preacher in St. Luke’s Church. Next Sunday as we end the week, Fr. Christy Fitzgerald, parish priest of Frankfield and RC Diocesan Ecumenical Advisor will be the guest preacher in Douglas. In addition the city parishes are invited to attend a special service in Cork Methodist Church at Ardfallen at 7pm on Sunday 25 January. The combined choirs from this parish, under their director Dermot Locke, will be singing at the service. We are delighted to be part of all this ecumenical activity.
Ashton School Players present “Annie” on the 19th – 23rd January in Ashton School Sports Hall. Tickets are €10/€12. Tickets available from the school office – 4966044.
